Airmen in Group Y (Non-Technical) Medical Assistant Trade

Eligibilty

Marital Status and Date of Birth Block:

• For Medical Assistant trade (10+2 candidates): Candidate should be unmarried and born between 01 January 2006 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive). The upper age limit as on the date of enrolment should be 21 years.
• For Medical Assistant trade (Diploma/B.Sc in Pharmacy candidates):
  • Unmarried candidates should be born between 01 January 2003 and 01 January 2008 (both dates inclusive).
  • Married candidates should be born between 01 January 2003 and 01 January 2006 (both dates inclusive).
  The upper age limit as on the date of enrolment should be 24 years.

Educational Qualification:

• For 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent Examination: Candidate must have passed 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and with 50% marks in English.
  OR
  Should have passed two years\' Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects i.e., Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from Education Boards/Councils recognised by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
• For Diploma/B.Sc in Pharmacy candidates: Candidate must have passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. In addition, a Diploma/B.Sc in Pharmacy with minimum 50% marks in aggregate with valid registration from State Pharmacy Council or Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) at the time of enrolment will be mandatory.

Note: Exact aggregate percentage of marks before decimal as written in the marks sheet shall only be considered (e.g., 49.99% should be taken as 49% and not rounded off to 50%).

Mandatory Medical Standards:

• Weight: Weight should be proportionate to height and age as applicable for IAF.
• Chest: Minimum chest circumference should be 77 cm and chest expansion must be at least 05 cm.
• Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately.
• Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points. Dental Implants and Implant Supported Prosthesis will not be awarded any dental points. Candidates wearing fixed or removable orthodontic appliances will be declared unfit.
• General Health: Candidates should be fit for the Air Force, conform to medical standards, have normal anatomy, and be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or communicable disease, infection and skin ailments. Physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.
• Gender: Any candidate found to have predominant characteristics of the opposite gender or having undergone gender reassignment surgery will be declared Unfit.
• Height & Visual Standards (Medical Assistant and Medical Assistant (Pharmacist)):
  • Height (min): 152 cms
  • Maximum limits of Refractive Error: Not exceeding + 3.50D including Astigmatism
  • Visual Acuity: 6/36 each eye, correctable to 6/6 each eye
  • Colour Vision: CP-II

  Note: Candidates with a history of LASIK/PRK will not be accepted. Latest prescription (not older than one month) and spectacles for corrected vision are required if used, bearing Ophthalmologist\'s details.

• Consumption of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS): Consumption of substances banned under the NDPS Act 1985 is a reject criterion. Zero tolerance policy to alcoholism and substance abuse is followed in IAF.
• Body Tattoo: Permanent body tattoos are generally not permitted. Exceptions for tattoos on the inner face of forearms, back of hand/reverse side of palm, and Tribal tattoos as per custom and traditions may be considered. Offensive, obscene, indecent, sexist or racist tattoos are prohibited.
• Sikh Candidates: Only Sikh candidates whose religion prohibits cutting of hair or shaving of face are permitted to grow hair and/or retain beard and moustache as per laid down specifications.
• Candidates discharged from other Govt Organisations: Eligible if discharged with NO ADVERSE ENTRIES. Must declare ex-employee status and produce original Discharge Certificate. Serving individuals must have NOC at Phase-II.

Vaccancy

The exact number of vacancies for the Airmen Intake 01/2027 in Group \'Y\' (Non-Technical) Medical Assistant Trade is not explicitly specified in the official notification. The salary and allowances for Airmen in the Medical Assistant Trade are as follows:

• During Training: A fixed stipend of ₹14,600/- per month shall be paid.
• On Completion of Training: The starting gross emoluments at the minimum of the scale of pay, including Military Service Pay (MSP), will be ₹26,900/- per month. The selection process for Airmen in Group 'Y' (Non-Technical) Medical Assistant Trade comprises the following phases:

Phase - I: Online Test

• Eligible candidates will receive admit cards for Phase-I on their registered e-mail IDs 48-72 hours prior to the examination.
• The online test will be objective type and questions will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for the English paper.
• Duration: 45 minutes.
• Subjects:
  • English (as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus)
  • Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA)
• Marking Pattern:

Step-1: Registration/Sign-up

1. Fill in the required personal and contact details correctly.
2. Click on the "Generate OTP" button.
3. Enter the OTPs sent to your registered mobile number and e-mail ID to verify them.
4. After successful OTP verification, you can log in to the CASB web portal using your registered e-mail ID and password.

Step-2: Filling of Application Form

1. Login to the CASB web portal using your registered e-mail ID and password.
2. Fill up the application form with all required details, including personal information and educational qualifications.
3. Upload Required Documents:
   • Photograph: Recent passport-size colour photograph (taken not before one month from date of application) of size 10 KB to 25 KB in .jpg format. The photograph must show the candidate's face clearly with a white background. Caps/sunglasses are not permitted.
   • Signature: Candidate's signature in .jpg format of size 10 KB to 25 KB. The signature must be clear and legible.

5. Submit Application: After successful payment, submit the application form.
6. Download & Print: Download a printout of the duly filled application form and keep it safely for future reference. Also, note down your registration number for future communication.

• Original or Digilocker verified printout and four self-attested photocopies of the Matriculation Passing Certificate (for verification of candidate's name, father's name, and date of birth).
• Original or Digilocker verified printout and four self-attested photocopies of 10+2/Intermediate/XII or equivalent/vocational examination passing certificate and marks sheet.
• Original or Digilocker verified printout and four self-attested photocopies of the passing certificate and mark sheet of B.Sc/Diploma in Pharmacy, if applicable.
• Certificate of SOAFP (Son of Air Force Personnel), including certificates for Son of serving/retired/deceased Air Force civilian employee (to be downloaded from the download section of the CASB web portal), if applicable.
• Original Phase-I Admit Card (used during Phase-I test, bearing Air Force seal and Invigilator's signature).
