General Eligibility Conditions:

  • Candidates must have graduated/post-graduated or be in their final year with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.
  • The degree-awarding university/institution must be incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India or other recognized educational institutions/deemed universities under relevant UGC/IIT/AICTE/NITSER/IIIT Acts.
  • Candidates with an Engineering degree (60% marks aggregate or equivalent CGPA) from a foreign university/college/institution recognized by the Government of India, or with an Engineering Degree/equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), can also apply.

The selection procedure comprises the following stages:

  1. Shortlisting of Applications:
    • Shortlisting will be based on normalised marks obtained by candidates in their qualifying degree. The normalisation formula is available on the Join Indian Navy website (https://www.joinindiannavy.gov.in/files/normalisation.pdf).
    • For B.E./B.Tech candidates (completed or final year), marks obtained up to the fifth semester will be considered.
