Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be based on the following stages:
- Stage I: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates must qualify in both PET and PST as per the laid down standards.
- Stage II: Written Examination: A Computer Based Test (CBT) of 3 hours duration, comprising 150 multiple-choice objective type questions (150 marks). The paper will have two parts: Part-I (50 Marks) covering General Knowledge, Mathematics, Reasoning, General English/General Hindi, and Part-II (100 Marks) covering the Technical Subject relevant to the post. Minimum qualifying marks are 50% for UR, EWS, OBC & Ex-SM, and 45% for SC and ST.
- Stage III: Skill Test (Only for Head Constable - Electrician): Candidates for the Electrician post will undergo a skill test of 50 marks, with a minimum qualifying marks of 60%. This stage is qualifying in nature.
- Stage IV: Documentation & Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/ Review Medical Examination (RME): Candidates shortlisted based on the merit of the written examination (and skill test for Electrician) will be called for document verification, followed by a Detailed Medical Examination.
Final Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination.
