Stipend During Apprenticeship Training:

The minimum stipend per month will be paid to trade apprentices as per the provision of sub-rule (1) of rule 11 of the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, and as per Office Memorandum (OM) DGT-36/1/2021-AP (E-38255) dated 19.09.2025.

  • NON-ITI (Matriculation/Xth Class Candidate): ₹ 8200 per month
  • EX-ITI (ITI Pass candidate): ₹ 9600 per month

No other allowances will be paid during the entire period of apprenticeship training. For Ex-ITI candidates, the period of training already undergone will be considered for determining the stipend. These payments are subject to change based on relevant amendments issued by the Government of India.

Mode of Selection:

Selection will be based on merit and the candidate's choice of Ordnance Factory. Separate merit lists will be prepared for NON-ITI and EX-ITI categories.

For NON-ITI Category:

  • The merit list will be prepared factory-wise based on the overall percentage of marks in Madhyamik or Matriculation (Class X standard or equivalent).
  • The aggregate marks (all subjects or best of 5 subjects, as per the concerned 10th Board criteria) entered by the candidate in the online application form will be considered.
  • Candidates must submit the original marksheet of Madhyamik Board (Class X std. or equivalent) for verification.
  • A factory-wise common merit list will be prepared, and trades will be allotted on a Merit-cum-Choice basis after selection.
  • For candidates with CGPA/GPA grading, marks (not CGPA) must be entered by converting them as per the 10th standard board criteria. If incorrect CGPA is entered or no clear conversion is provided by the board, a standard multiplication factor of 9.5 will be uniformly used. Incorrect conversion may lead to rejection during document verification.
  • For results declared in grades (A+/A/B+ etc.), candidates must enter the percentage of marks obtained as per the 10th board criteria. If no conversion formula is provided by the board, the following table will be used:
GRADERANGE OF MARKSPERCENTAGE
A+90-10095%
A80-8984.5%
B+70-7974.5%
B60-6964.5%
C+50-5954.5%
C40-4944.5%

For EX-ITI Category:

  • The merit list will be prepared factory-wise and trade-wise.
  • Selection will be based on the simple average of the percentage of marks in both Matriculation and ITI (minimum 50% in aggregate in each).
  • For Matriculation, marks obtained and entered in the online application (aggregate of all subjects or best of 5 subjects, as per 10th Board guidelines) will be considered.
  • For ITI marks, marks mentioned in the provisional/final certificate will be considered.

Tie-Resolution:

In cases where two candidates have the same marks/percentage:

  1. The older candidate shall be preferred.
  2. If dates of birth are also the same, candidates with a Matriculation certificate from an earlier year shall be preferred.
  3. If the year of passing Matriculation is also the same, the alphabetical order of names (candidate whose name appears first) shall be preferred.

Based on vacancy positions, select lists will be prepared, and only provisionally selected candidates will be called for document verification and medical examination.
