  • Upper age limit is relaxable as under:
    • By 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
    • By 3 years for OBC-NCL candidates.
    • By 10 years for PwBD applicants (15 & 13 years for PwBD candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC-NCL respectively).
    • For Ex-Servicemen: Upto the extent of service rendered in defence plus three years. Community-wise relaxation applies (UR/EWS - 3 years, OBC-NCL - 6 years, SC/ST - 8 years).
    • By 8 years for regular employees of IRFC.
  • Maximum upper age should not exceed 56 years including all relaxations.
  • Relaxation for PwBD category applies irrespective of whether the post is reserved or not.

Selection Process

The selection process will consist of:

  • Computer Based Test (CBT): For both posts.
  • Document Verification: For shortlisted candidates.
  • Interview: Only for Assistant Manager (Finance) post.
  • Medical Test: For both posts.

Selection will be based strictly on merit and adherence to reservation rules. Final merit for Assistant Manager (Finance) will be based on 80% weightage to CBT marks and 20% to Interview marks.

Scheme of Examination (Computer Based Test - CBT):

The CBT will have two parts:

Part 'A' (Common for both posts):

  • Mathematics / Numerical Ability: 20 Questions
  • General Awareness: 10 Questions
  • Logical Reasoning / General Intelligence: 10 Questions
  • Knowledge about Railways/IRFC: 10 Questions
  • Total: 50 Questions

Part 'B' (Post-specific):

  • For Assistant (NE-5 Level): Corporate Accounting, Income Tax Laws and Practice, Indirect Tax Laws, Corporate Laws, Cost Accounting, Computer Application in Business, Management Principles and Applications, Fundamentals of Financial Management, Auditing and Corporate Governance, Financial Reporting and Analysis, Project Management, E-Filing of Returns, Banking and Insurance, etc. (50 Questions)
  • For Assistant Manager (Finance) – E1 Level: Accounting and IND AS Standards, Financial Reporting, Strategic Financial Management, Auditing, Professional Ethics, Cost and Management Accounting, Corporate & Economic Laws, Direct Tax Laws, Indirect Tax Laws, Enterprise Information Systems, Risk Management, Financial Services & Capital Markets, Computer Application in Business, E Filing of Returns, etc. (50 Questions)

General Instructions for CBT:

  • Total 100 Multiple Choice Objective Type Questions.
  • Each question carries 01 mark.
  • Negative Marking: 1/4th of the marks allotted for each question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Exam Duration: 90 minutes (120 minutes for eligible PwBD candidates with Scribe).
  • Qualifying Marks: UR/EWS - 40%, SC/OBC-NCL - 30%, ST - 25%.
  • Question paper will be in English & Hindi. English version will prevail in case of discrepancy.

  3. Fill in personal details, generate OTP, and accept terms & conditions.
  4. Login using the generated ID and Password.
  5. Fill in the online application form accurately.
  6. Upload scanned Photograph, Signature, and Left Thumb Impression as per specifications.
  7. Pay the application fee online (if applicable).
  8. Submit the application form and take a printout for future reference.

Required Document

Candidates are required to produce the following documents at the time of Document Verification:

  • Matriculation/Secondary (10th) Examination Certificate and Marksheet (for Date of Birth verification).
  • Certificate for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD/Ex-servicemen, issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format.
  • OBC-NCL/EWS certificates must be valid and not older than one year at the time of Document Verification.
  • Final Degree Certificate and Mark Sheets of all semesters/years.
  • Conversion formula for grades if applicable.
  • Provisional Degree/Marksheet with a certificate from the institution if original is not yet issued.
  • Transcript (if document is in a language other than Hindi or English).
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from present employer (if applicable, except for regular IRFC employees).
  • Discharge Certificate/NOC/Serving Defence Personnel Certificate (for Ex-servicemen).
  • Disability Certificate (for PwBD candidates).
  • Print out of e-Admit Card for CBT.
  • Five colored Passport Size latest Photographs.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • PAN Card (or acknowledgement receipt of application).

Salary Details:

Assistant (NE5 Level):

  • Pay Scale: ₹ 21,000 - ₹ 74,000/-
  • Cost to Company (CTC): Approx. ₹ 8.00 Lakh per annum

Assistant Manager (Finance) – E1 Level:

  • Pay Scale: ₹ 40,000 - ₹ 1,40,000/-
  • Cost to Company (CTC): Approx. ₹ 16.00 Lakh per annum

Selected candidates will be inducted at the minimum of the pay scale. CTC includes Basic Pay, DA, HRA, Retirement Benefits, Cafeteria Allowance, PRP, and other admissible benefits.
