Nationality - Unmarried male/female and citizen of India, or - A subject of Nepal, or - Person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries, or Vietnam, intending to permanently settle in India. Certificate of eligibility required for categories (ii) and (iii) except Gorkha subjects of Nepal.
Educational Qualifications - For Army Wing of NDA: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern or equivalent. - For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA & 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at INAC: 12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern or equivalent. - Candidates appearing in 12th Class are also eligible. Proof of passing must be provided by December 10, 2026.
Physical Standards Candidates must be physically fit as per standards in Appendix-III.
Other Eligibility - Candidates who have resigned or withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any Armed Forces training academy are not eligible. - Candidates debarred by the Ministry of Defence are not eligible.
Air Force Specific - Candidates who failed CPSS/PABT earlier can apply for Air Force Ground Duty branches if they indicate willingness in the Exam Specific Form.

Selection Process

Admission to the courses will be based on the results of a written examination conducted by UPSC, followed by an Intelligence and Personality Test by the Services Selection Board (SSB). Candidates for the Air Force wing must also qualify the Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS).

Syllabus

The examination consists of two papers:

Paper-I: Mathematics (300 Marks)

Topics include Algebra, Matrices and Determinants, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry of two and three dimensions, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus and Differential Equations, Vector Algebra, Statistics and Probability.

Paper-II: General Ability Test (600 Marks)

Part 'A' - English (200 Marks): Grammar, usage, vocabulary, comprehension, and cohesion.

Part 'B' - General Knowledge (400 Marks): Broadly covers Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Social Studies, Geography, and Current Events.
