Educational Qualification

For Constable (GD):

  • Unreserved, SC, OBC: Passed Class 10 or Higher Secondary Exam under the 10+2 system from a recognized board.

  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): Passed Class 8.

Vaccancy

  • Total Vacancies: 7,500

    • Constable (GD): 6,800

    • Constable (SAF/GD): 700

Reservation Categories:

Salary

Constable (GD): ₹19,500 – ₹62,000/- (Level-4 Pay Scale)

In the initial years, the salary will be paid as a percentage of the basic pay:

  • 1st Year: 70% of the basic pay

  • 2nd Year: 80% of the basic pay

  • 3rd Year: 90% of the basic pay

Full salary is applicable after successful completion of the probation period.

Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted in two stages:

1. First Stage – Online Written Examination

  • Duration: 2 hours

  • Total Marks: 100

  • Number of Questions: 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs)

Subjects and Mark Distribution:

  • General Knowledge and Logical Reasoning: 40 marks

  • Intellectual Ability and Mental Aptitude: 30 marks

  • Science and Basic Arithmetic: 30 marks


2. Second Stage – Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

  • Based on the cut-off marks of the written exam, candidates 7 times the number of vacancies will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test.

  • This test will carry 100 marks, and candidates must obtain a minimum of 30% marks to qualify.

  • The marks obtained in the Physical Test will be added to the written exam marks to prepare the final selection list.

Travel Allowance (TA) Claim Form

Candidates will be reimbursed travel allowance (TA) for attending the written and physical efficiency exams. Candidates must fill in the following details:

  • Name of the exam, date, and exam center

  • Candidate’s name (in Hindi/English)

  • Roll number

  • Bank account details (Bank name, branch, IFSC code, account number)

  • Home district and exam center name

  • Type of travel and expense amount

  • Contact details (address, email, phone)

  • Photocopy of the first page of the bank passbook

  • Original travel tickets

  • Caste/Disability certificate (if applicable)

  • Copy of the exam admit card
