RSSB Agriculture Supervisor Direct Recruitment 2026 for 1100 Posts

The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board, Jaipur (RSSB) invites online applications for the direct recruitment of Agriculture Supervisors. A total of 1100 vacancies are available, including 944 for Non-Scheduled Areas and 156 for Scheduled Areas. Interested and eligible candidates are advised to read the detailed advertisement carefully before applying online through the SSO Portal.

Note: Applicants from other states/union territories falling under SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS categories will be considered as General Category candidates for this recruitment process and must pay the General Category fee. Applicants who have previously paid the One Time Registration (OTR) fee are not required to pay it again.

Age limit

As of 01.01.2027, applicants must have attained the age of 18 years and not have completed 40 years.

Special Relaxation: Due to no recruitment for Agriculture Supervisor since 2023 (when age was calculated as of 01.01.2024), all applicants will receive an additional 2 years relaxation in the maximum age limit.

Maximum Age Relaxation for Specific Categories:

  • Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Class/Most Backward Class/Economically Weaker Section (Rajasthan Domicile Male Candidates): 5 years
  • General Category Female Candidates: 5 years
  • Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Class/Most Backward Class/Economically Weaker Section (Rajasthan Domicile Female Candidates): 10 years
  • Ex-Prisoners:
    • No maximum age limit if eligible for appointment before conviction.
    • Otherwise, relaxation equivalent to the period of imprisonment served.
  • Temporary Appointed Persons in Service: Considered within the age limit if they were eligible at the time of their initial appointment, even if they have crossed it at the time of final appearance before the department. Two opportunities will be provided.
  • Retrenched Government Employees: Upper age limit 35 years, provided they were within the maximum age limit at the time of their initial retrenchment from those posts.
  • Repatriated Persons (Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries): Upper age limit relaxed to 45 years (additional 5 years for SC/ST candidates).
  • Repatriated Persons from East African countries (Kenya, Tanganyika, Uganda, and Zanzibar): No age limit.
  • Serving Employees of Rajasthan State (Substantive): Upper age limit 40 years (not applicable to urgent temporary appointees).
  • Displaced Persons from Pakistan (1971 India-Pakistan War): No age limit.
  • Widows and Divorced Women: No age limit, but must be below the state government\'s fixed retirement age.
  • NCC Cadet Instructors: Relaxation in maximum age limit equal to the period of service rendered in NCC, provided the resulting age is not more than 3 years above the prescribed maximum age limit.
  • Ex-Servicemen: 15 years relaxation in the maximum age limit. However, after this relaxation, if the permissible age exceeds 50 years, the upper age limit of 50 years will apply. For direct recruitment posts where experience in a lower post is mandatory, the maximum upper age limit will be 55 years.
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwD) as per Rajasthan Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules-2018: 5 years relaxation in the upper age limit, which will be in addition to any other age relaxation applicable to their category.

Note: The age relaxations mentioned above are non-cumulative; candidates will be granted the benefit of only one such provision for maximum age relaxation.

Eligibilty

Educational Qualification:

  • B.Sc. (Agriculture) or B.Sc. (Agriculture-Horticulture) Honours from a recognized university established by law in India.
  • OR Senior Higher Secondary (10+2 scheme) with Agriculture or Higher Secondary (old scheme) with Agriculture from a recognized board.

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of working in Hindi written in Devnagari script.
  • Knowledge of Rajasthan\'s culture.

Note: Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination are eligible to apply, but they must provide proof of acquiring the required educational qualification by the date of the examination. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

Other Qualifications:

  • Health: Candidates must be in good mental and physical health and free from any defect that would interfere with the efficient performance of duties. A medical fitness certificate signed by the Chief Medical and Health Officer or Medical Jurist of their district of residence will be required upon selection.
  • Character: Candidates must possess good character suitable for government service. A character certificate from the principal/education officer of the last educational institution attended, along with two character certificates from responsible individuals (not relatives) issued within six months prior to the application date, must be submitted.

Nationality:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

The salary for the Agriculture Supervisor post is determined according to the 7th Pay Commission Pay Matrix Level-5 by the State Government.

During the probation period, a fixed monthly remuneration will be payable as per government orders. No additional allowances such as house rent allowance, dearness allowance, city compensatory allowance, or special pay will be admissible during the probation period.

Upon successful completion of the two-year probation period, including training and passing the required examinations, and satisfactory conduct, candidates will be eligible for the minimum pay scale of the post and other allowances as per rules.

Examination Scheme:

  • The recruitment exam for Agriculture Supervisor posts will be an Offline (OMR-based) Objective Type examination.
  • The question paper will consist of 100 questions.
  • Maximum marks for the examination will be 300.
  • The duration of the examination will be 2 hours.
  • Each question carries 3 marks.
  • Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • OMR Sheet Instructions:
    • Each question will have 5 options (A, B, C, D, E). Candidates must darken only one circle using a blue ballpoint pen.
    • If a candidate does not attempt a question, they must darken option 'E'.
    • If none of the five options is darkened for up to 10% of the questions, 1/3rd of the marks for each such question will be deducted.
    • If more than 10% of the questions have no darkened circle, the candidate will be disqualified.
    • An additional 10 minutes will be provided after the scheduled exam time to ensure all questions have one option darkened.

Normalization Process:

If the Board conducts the recruitment examination in multiple stages, the process of normalization will be adopted.

Document Verification:

Eligibility verification and document authentication will be carried out by the concerned departments based on the information provided in the online application/OTR. Candidates must ensure the accuracy and completeness of their submitted information and documents.

Candidates must apply online through the Rajasthan SSO Portal. Offline applications will not be accepted under any circumstances.

  1. One Time Registration (OTR):
    • Visit the SSO Portal: http://sso.rajasthan.gov.in
    • Log in using your SSO ID.
    • Navigate to "Citizen Apps (G2C)" and select "Recruitment Portal".
    • If you have not paid the OTR fee, click on the "OTR (One Time Registration)" tab. Carefully fill in your category (Unreserved, EWS, OBC-NC, MBC-NC, SC, ST, SAH), disability status, and home state, and then pay the prescribed fee.
    • The information filled during OTR (category, disability status, home state) will be pre-filled in your online application. Ensure OTR details are accurate.
  2. Filling the Online Application:
    • After completing the OTR process, access the application form through your SSO ID on the Recruitment Portal.
    • Carefully select your educational qualification in the OTR dashboard's ODV section. Upload required qualification documents in the Document Details section as per the recruitment rules.
    • Ensure all other information in the application form is filled carefully. Any incorrect or incomplete entry made by the e-Mitra will be considered the applicant's fault.
    • Once the application form is "Final Submit"ted, an online application number will be generated. Candidates must print and safely keep this application form.
    • Do not use any other portal or facility for OTR fee payment.
  3. Important Instructions for Application:
    • Applicants must apply in the category for which they are eligible. Candidates from other states will be considered under the General category.
    • Ensure your mobile number and email ID are correct and do not change them until the recruitment process is complete, as important information will be sent to them.
    • Only applications submitted through the candidate's own SSO ID will be considered valid.
    • An application ID must be generated; otherwise, the application will not be considered accepted.
    • Read the detailed advertisement and relevant service rules carefully before submitting the application.
  4. Application Correction/Withdrawal:
    • Certain fields like Name, Father's Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Photograph, and Handwriting Sample cannot be changed in the online application once submitted. These are linked to OTR/Aadhar/JanAadhar.
    • Other details can be corrected during a specified correction window (firstly during the application period or 3 days after closing, and a final opportunity approximately one month before the exam) by paying a fee of INR 300/-.
    • Applications can be withdrawn approximately one month before the exam through the "Withdraw Button" on the Recruitment Portal.
