Selection Process

The selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the candidates in the main (written) examination. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission shall hold a Preliminary Examination for selecting suitable candidates for admission to the Assistant Teacher, Trained Graduate Grade (Male/Female branch) Main (Written) Examination 2025.

Preliminary Examination: Successful candidates from the Preliminary Examination will be admitted to the Main Examination. Approximately fifteen times the number of vacancies will be declared successful for the main examination.

Main (Written) Examination: Selection is based on the total marks obtained in this examination. Candidates will have to fill up another application form and pay the prescribed fee for the Main examination.

Efficiency Standard: A minimum efficiency standard must be achieved in both Preliminary and Main examinations. For SC/ST candidates, it is 35%, and for other categories, it is 40%. Candidates failing to meet this standard will not be placed in the merit/select list.

Document Verification: Candidates will be required to produce original documents and self-attested copies at the time of document verification.

How To apply

  1. Register on the O.T.R. portal and obtain an O.T.R. number 72 hours before applying online.
  2. Visit the commission's website https://uppsc.up.nic.in and click on 'ONLINE APPLICATION FORMS SUBMISSION'.
  3. Click on 'Apply' against the relevant advertisement and 'Authenticate with O.T.R.'.
  4. Enter your O.T.R. Number and proceed to authenticate via OTP or O.T.R. password.
  5. Fill in the essential qualification details and complete the application form in four stages (Personal Details, Submit Details, Fee Payment, Final Submission).
  6. Pay the prescribed application fee through the available payment methods.
  7. After fee payment, complete the application form and take a printout.
  8. In case of any modification, use the 'Candidate Dashboard Login' to make changes before the last date for correction.

Required Document

  • High School or equivalent examination certificate: For date of birth verification.
  • Mark sheets, Certificates & Degrees: In support of educational qualifications.
  • Category Certificate: Issued by the competent authority for claiming reservation/age relaxation (as per Appendix-1). For women candidates, the caste certificate must be from the father's side.
  • Certificate for Physically Handicapped persons: Issued by the prescribed Medical Officer/Specialist and counter-signed by the Chief Medical Officer.
  • Discharge Certificate: For Ex-Army personnel.
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC): For candidates serving under the Central or State Government, issued by their employer.
  • Dependent of Freedom Fighter Certificate: As per Government Order.
  • Proof of service in Territorial Army (minimum two years) or 'B' certificate of National Cadet Corps (NCC): For preferential qualification claim.
  • Photographs and Signature: As per the specifications provided in the notification.
