UPSSSC Lekhpal Main Examination (PET-2025)

Eligibilty

Only candidates who have appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025 (PET-2025) and have been issued a scorecard by the Commission are eligible to apply for the Lekhpal Main Examination.

Candidates will be shortlisted for the main examination based on their normalized score in PET-2025. Candidates with an actual (absolute) score or normalized score of zero or less/negative marks in PET-2025 will not be shortlisted for the main examination.

Mandatory Educational Qualification:

As per the Uttar Pradesh Lekhpal Service Rules, 2006 (as amended), for direct recruitment to the post of Lekhpal, candidates must have passed the Intermediate examination of Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh, or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Government.

Preferential Qualification:

In case of direct recruitment, other things being equal, preference will be given to candidates who have:

• Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or
• Obtained a \'B\' certificate of the National Cadet Corps.

Candidates must possess the required educational and other qualifications and related certificates by the application deadline (28-01-2026).

The post of Lekhpal falls under Pay Level-3. The salary structure is as follows:

• Minimum Pay: INR 21,700
• Maximum Pay: INR 69,100

This is as per the pay scale of the Revenue Council, Uttar Pradesh.

The selection process for the Lekhpal posts will be based on a Written Examination.

The selection will follow the Uttar Pradesh Group 'C' Posts Direct Recruitment (Method and Procedure) Rules, 2015, the Uttar Pradesh Lower Subordinate Posts Direct Recruitment (Interview Abolition) Rules, 2017, and the new application process and two-tier examination system (which includes a Preliminary Eligibility Test for shortlisting) adopted by the Uttar Pradesh Lekhpal Service Rules, 2006 (as amended).

Written Examination Scheme:

Step-by-Step Online Application Process:

3. Applicant Authentication/Login: Login using your Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025 (PET-2025) Registration Number. An OTP (One Time Password) will be sent to your registered mobile number/email for verification.
4. Application Form Filling (Part I - Personal Information): After logging in, your personal details (Name, Father/Husband's Name, Mother's Name, UP Domicile details, Category, EWS, Horizontal Reservation details, Date of Birth, Gender, Marital Status, Mobile Number, Email, etc.) as recorded in PET-2025 will be automatically displayed. These details cannot be modified.
5. Application Form Filling (Part II - Educational Qualification): You will need to fill in the details related to the mandatory educational qualifications (शैक्षिक अर्हता) as published in the advertisement. Select 'Yes/No' for possessing the qualification, then enter Board/Institution/University name, Year of Passing, Certificate Number/Roll Number, Certificate Issue Date, and Marks/Grade details.
6. Submit Registration Page: After filling in the above information, enter the "Verification Code" displayed on the registration page and click the "Submit" button.
7. Print Registration Slip: Upon successful submission, your "Applicant's Application Form" with an 11-digit registration number and other details will be displayed. Print a copy and keep it safe for future reference.
8. Photo and Signature: Your photo and signature uploaded during PET-2025 will be automatically displayed and cannot be modified or changed. Click "Continue" to proceed to the next page.
9. Other Details: If applicable, select 'Yes/No' for preferential qualifications. Your permanent and correspondence address from PET-2025 will also be displayed automatically.
10. Declaration: Carefully read the declaration, tick all the checkboxes to agree, enter the verification code, and click "Save and Submit" to proceed to fee payment.
11. Fee Payment and Adjustment: Pay the online processing fee (INR 25.00 for all categories) using Credit card, Debit card, Internet Banking, UPI, or SBI E-Challan. Follow the instructions on the website.
12. Final Application Submission and Printout: After successful fee payment and adjustment, your application form will be automatically submitted and displayed. Download and print your application form immediately. If the form does not display, use the "Update Your Transaction ID by Double Verification" option on the website.
13. 3. Geography of India & World: Geography of India including physical, social, and economic geography of the country, agriculture, horticulture, forestry and animal husbandry, patterns of population and urbanization, and information related to Smart Cities and Smart Villages. General information about world geography.
4. Indian Economy & Social Development: Economic planning in India, objectives and achievements, role of NITI Aayog, Sustainable Development Goals. Components of government budget and financial system. Development of agriculture, industry, and trade in India. Land reforms after independence in India.
