Central Bank of India, a leading Public Sector Bank with a PAN India Branch Network of over 4500 branches and a total business exceeding Rs. 7,74,000 Crores, is inviting applications from experienced and eligible professionals. The recruitment is for the posts of Foreign Exchange Officer in Scale III and Marketing Officer in Scale I within the Specialist Category on a regular basis.

The maximum age limit specified for General/EWS candidates (35 years for Foreign Exchange Officer, 30 years for Marketing Officer) is subject to these relaxations. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates is allowed on a cumulative basis with only one of the other categories (PwBD, 1984 riots, Ex-servicemen). OBC candidates in the ‘Creamy Layer\' will be treated as “General Category\". The upper age limit for PwBD (Divyangjan) candidates, after all relaxations, should not exceed 56 years as on 01.01.2026. Necessary certificates must be submitted at the time of interview.

Eligibilty

i. Nationality/ Citizenship: A candidate must be either:

  • A Citizen of India or
  • A subject of Nepal or
  • A subject of Bhutan or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

ii. Eligibility Cutoff date: All eligibility criteria regarding educational qualification, age, and experience will be ascertained as on 01.01.2026.

Foreign Exchange Officer (Middle Management Grade Scale III)

  • Educational Qualification: Full time Graduation from an All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)/ University Grants Commission (UGC) approved University/College in any discipline. Preference shall be given to candidates having professional qualifications like CFA/CA, MBA in a relevant stream.
  • Mandatory Certification: Certificate in Foreign Exchange Operations from the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF).
  • Preferable Certifications:
    1. Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB).
    2. Certificate in Trade Finance and/or in Foreign Exchange Facilities for Individuals (IIBF).
    3. CDCS (Certified Documentary Credit Specialist)
    4. CITF (Certificate in International Trade and Finance)
    5. NISM (National Institute of Securities Markets) Certifications in Treasury / Derivatives (for treasury-linked roles).
    (Similar Certificates from any other reputed agencies will also be preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years as an officer in Scheduled Commercial Banks (SCBs), out of which three years mandatorily in Trade Finance / Forex operations/IBU-Gift City. The candidate should be currently working in the forex domain, preferably in sales/business development. (Candidates from Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFCs) / Regional Rural Bank (RRBs) / Cooperative Banks/Insurance sector either regular or part-time shall not be eligible).
  • Experience In Profile:
    • Handling LCs (Letters of Credit), Bank Guarantees, Bills under Collection, Export/Import Documentation, Export/Import Transactions, Export Data Processing and Information System (EDPMS), Import Data Processing and Monitoring Systems (IDPMS).
    • Ensuring transactions comply with Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), RBI Master Directions, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/Know Your Customer (KYC norms.
    • Advising exporters/importers on forex products, risk coverage (forward contracts, hedging), and documentation, services to NRI customers for investment in Foreign Currency Non-Resident (FCNR)/Non – Resident Indian (NRI) or other products.
    • Liaising with treasury desks for rate booking, forward cover, and currency position management.
    • Preparing daily position reports, Nostro reconciliation, and regulatory returns to RBI or AD branches.
  • Desired Skills:
    • Sound knowledge of Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), Uniform Customs and Practice (UCP 600), International Standard Banking Practice (ISBP), International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS), and RBI forex regulations.

Marketing Officer (Junior Management Grade Scale I)

  • Educational Qualification: Full time Graduation from an All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)/ University Grants Commission (UGC) approved University/College AND Two years Full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA)/Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA)/ Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM)/ Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM)/ Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) with Major specialization in Marketing.
  • Experience: Post Qualification experience of two years, out of which one-year continuous experience in the marketing domain in an organization (Banking Financial Services and Insurance - BFSI). The candidate should be currently employed in the marketing domain.
  • Job Role: Marketing officer shall be recruited primarily for a field-based role for business mobilization.

*The experience should be Post qualification relevant experience. All educational qualifications mentioned should be from university recognized by Govt. of India/ approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies. Candidates must possess experience wherever applicable as per the post applied.   • Penalty for Wrong Answers: There will be no penalty for wrong answers marked in the objective test.
  • Qualifying Marks: The online written examination will be conducted for 100 marks. Qualifying marks in the Written Test shall be 50% for Unreserved/EWS category and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD (Divyangjan).

Interview:

PwBD Scribe Guidelines: Candidates with benchmark disabilities eligible to use a scribe will be allowed compensatory time of 20 minutes for every hour of the examination. The candidate must arrange their own scribe.
