Educational and Experience -

Candidates must possess all the required qualifications and eligibility criteria as on 28-02-2026.

Vacancy Details 40 Posts

The Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board is recruiting for a total of 40 temporary posts. The category-wise breakdown of these posts is as follows:

Horizontal Reservation will be applicable in accordance with prevailing latest orders issued by the Government of Uttar Pradesh for the advertised posts.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of a Computer Based Test (CBT) and interview. The total marks for selection will be 470.

The examination will be conducted in two stages as follows:

A. Stage I - Computer Based Test (CBT)

• The CBT will be objective type and will carry 400 marks.
• Each question will have a total of 04 (four) options.
• 04 (four) marks will be awarded for each correct answer.
• 01 (one) mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• 0 (zero) marks will be awarded for questions not attempted.
• Question Paper will be available in English & Hindi. In case of any discrepancy in interpretation of questions, the English version shall be considered final.
• A merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in Computer Based Test (CBT) and candidates from this merit list will be called for interview as per prescribed rules.

B. Second Stage: Interview

• The interview will carry 70 (seventy) marks.

Selection: Based on the marks obtained by the applicants out of 470 marks (CBT + Interview), the merit list will be prepared as per the provisions of the existing rules/regulations, and selection will be made accordingly.

• The guidelines for registration and filing online application are also available on this link.
• Incomplete or incorrect applications are liable to be rejected at any stage of the recruitment process.
• Candidates are advised not to wait until the last date to submit their online applications.
• After online submission of application, candidates should print and retain a copy of the submitted application form for future reference.
• No request for withdrawal of the submitted online application form shall be entertained.
• Entries made in the last submitted online application form shall be treated as final including the name of applicant, post applied for, caste, date of birth, address, email ID and mobile number etc.
• Applications without prescribed fee and required documents as mentioned in the recruitment process shall not be considered.
• The Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) reserves the rights to allot the examination centres for the candidates and no representation in this regard shall be entertained.

Required Document

• Printed copy of the submitted online application form (to be retained for future reference and presented at the time of interview).
• Self-attested copy of Educational Qualification proof.
• Caste Certificate (for reservation benefits and fee exemption, issued by competent authority in the format prescribed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh; mandatory to upload in online application form and produce original when required).
• Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) certificate (issued by competent authority in the format prescribed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh).
• Other relevant documents as mentioned in the application form (to be produced for verification).
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from employer for candidates serving in Central or State Government (to be submitted to UPPCB on demand).
• Disability certificate (issued by competent authority on the updated format prescribed by Government Order No. 5/2022/18/1/2008/47/Ka-2/2022, dated 18.04.2022 of Personnel Department-2 of Uttar Pradesh Government, clearly mentioning type and percentage of disability).
• Certificates for Dependents of Freedom Fighters (as per Government Order dated 21st April, 2015).
• Certificates for Ex-servicemen (issued from the competent authority).
• Original and self-attested copies of documents related to age, mark sheets, degrees at the time of interview.
• Medical examination report by the Chief Medical Officer (upon joining).

Salary Criteria

The recruited candidates will be offered a salary as per Pay Matrix Level-10.
