Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released Advertisement No. A-5/E-1/2025 for 7,466 Assistant Teacher (LT Grade) vacancies in government secondary schools across the state. The recruitment includes posts for both male and female branches, requiring a Bachelor’s degree, B.Ed., and UPTET qualification. Age limit

  • Applicants must be between 21 to 40 years old as of 1 July 2025, i.e., born between 2 July 1985 and 1 July 2004.

Eligibilty

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in the specific teaching subject from a recognized Indian university.

  • B.Ed. degree from an NCTE-recognized institution is mandatory for all posts (except Computer Science where B.Ed may be optional).

  • UPTET (or equivalent state teacher eligibility certification) is required.

Subject-wise Bachelor’s Degree Requirements:

  • Hindi: Graduation with Hindi + Intermediate/Sanskrit or Uttar Madhyama Pariksha (Sanskrit).

  • English: Degree in English literature.

  • Mathematics: Degree with Mathematics.

  • Science: Physics & Chemistry combination.

  • Social Science: Two subjects like History, Geography, Pol. Sc., Economics.

  • Computer: B.Tech/B.E. (CS) or BCA or B.Sc (CS), or NIELIT ‘A‑level’ etc.

  • Urdu/Biology/Sanskrit/Commerce/Music/Arts/Home Science/Physical Education/Agriculture: Subject-specific degree + B.Ed.

Nationality

  • Must be an Indian citizen (eligible to apply for state teaching vacancies in Uttar Pradesh).

How to Apply Online: UPPSC Assistant Teacher (TGT) Recruitment 2025

1. Complete One-Time Registration (OTR)

  • Visit the official website: uppsc.up.nic.in

  • Click “One-Time Registration (OTR)” and complete the profile with basic personal details.

  • Create a secure password and obtain your OTR Number. Save this for future logins.

2. Login & Access Application Form

  • After OTR, click “Apply for ADVT. No. A‑5/E‑1/2025 – Assistant Teacher (TGT)”.

  • Use your OTR number and password to log in.

3. Fill Application Form

  • Enter personal, academic, and subject-related details.

  • Upload scanned documents: passport-sized photo, signature, educational certificates (as per specifications).

4. Pay Application Fee

  • Payment can be made via debit/credit card, net banking, UPI, or mobile wallets.
    Ensure you pay before 28 August 2025.

5. Review & Final Submit

  • Review all details and lock the application.

  • Click “Final Submit”, download or print the confirmation page or form for your records.

6. Correction Window (if needed)

  • If any discrepancies arise, corrections can be made until 4 September 2025.

  • Fee reconciliation is also allowed within this window.


Salary Structure for UP LT Grade (TGT) Teachers

Official Pay Scale

  • Pay Band: ₹9,300 – ₹34,800

  • Grade Pay: ₹4,600

  • Pay Matrix Level: Level‑7 (7th CPC)

  • Entry Basic Pay: ₹17,140/month (approx)

  • Comprehensive Pay Cell (CPC Pay Level): ₹44,906/month

Selection Process

  1. Written Examination

    • Objective-type test conducted by UPPSC.

    • Subjects include:

      • Teaching Aptitude

    • Total Marks and duration will be as per the official syllabus/pattern.

  2. Merit List

    • Based on performance in the written test only.

    • No interview is usually conducted for TGT-level teaching posts.
