Eligibilty Criteria

Educational Qualification	B.Sc. (Nursing) [Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing] OR Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from a university/institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
Registration Certificate	Mandatory registration from Uttarakhand Nurses and Midwives Council or Indian Nursing Council.
Language Proficiency	Knowledge of Hindi in working use is essential.
Preference Qualification (Desirable)	Minimum 02 years of service in a provincial army OR possession of 'B' or 'C' certificate of National Cadet Corps (NCC).

Selection Process

The selection process will be based on a written examination. The written examination will consist of two papers:

Paper 1: Subject concerned (Nursing) - 100 Marks
Paper 2: General Hindi, General Knowledge, and General Studies - 100 Marks

There will be negative marking. 1/4th mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Syllabus

Syllabus for Written Examination:

The written examination will consist of 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 200 marks, to be completed in 03 hours.

Paper 1: Subject Concerned (Nursing) - 100 Marks

For Diploma Holders: Fundamentals of Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Obstetrics & Gynaecology Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, etc.
For Degree Holders: Fundamentals of Nursing, Nursing Education & Administration, Nursing Research & Statistics, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Nutrition & Dietetics, Child Health Nursing, etc.

Paper 2: General Hindi, General Knowledge, and General Studies - 100 Marks

General Hindi (20 Marks): Hindi Grammar, Vocabulary, Sentence Structure, etc.
General Knowledge (40 Marks): Geography, History, Economics, Culture, Environment, Transport, Population, Statistics, and other related topics of Uttarakhand and India.
General Studies (40 Marks): Logical Reasoning, Analytical Ability, Mathematical Aptitude, Problem Solving, etc.
