Railway Board Secretariat Clerical Service Not less than five years of approved and continuous service in the Lower Division Grade. Age not more than 50 years.
Central Administrative Tribunal Five years of regular service in the Lower Division Clerk Grade.
Central Vigilance Commission Junior Secretariat Assistant who has rendered five years of regular service in the pay matrix level.
Election Commission of India Junior Secretariat Assistant/Lower Division Clerk who has completed a minimum of three years regular service in the grade.
Forest Survey of India Lower Division Clerk having five years of regular service in the grade.
National Technical Research Organisation Junior Secretariat Assistant/ Lower Division Clerk of NTRO having five years of regular service in the grade.
Directorate General, Defence Estates Hindi Typist who has rendered five years regular service. Age not more than 45 years.
Office of Development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Lower Division Clerk of MSME–DO in Level-2 with five years of regular service in the Grade.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on the following stages:

  • Part-I: Computer Based Examination & Written Examination (300 Marks)
    • Paper-I: Computer Based Examination (Objective Type): General Awareness, English Language and Comprehension (200 Marks).
    • Paper-II: Written Examination (Descriptive Type): Noting, Drafting & Office Procedure (100 Marks).
  • Part-II: Evaluation of Record of Service (APARs) (100 Marks).

Final selection will be based on the aggregate performance in Paper-I, Paper-II, and Part-II (APAR Evaluation). Minimum qualifying marks may be fixed for Paper-I and Paper-II individually.

Syllabus

Paper-I (Computer Based Examination):

  • General Awareness: Questions on environment, current events, history, culture, geography, economics, science, general politics, and scientific research related to India and its neighboring countries.
  • English Language and Comprehension: Vocabulary, spelling, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, sentence completion, phrases, idiomatic use of words, and comprehension of a passage (Matriculation level).

Paper-II (Written Examination):

  • Noting, Drafting & Office Procedure: Knowledge of office procedure in Secretariat and Attached Offices, ability to write and understand notes and drafts. Candidates should study the relevant Manuals and Rules as mentioned in the notification.

Part-II: Evaluation of Record of Service (APARs).

  3. Fill in the online application form for the examination.
  4. Upload required documents including scanned photograph and signature.
  5. Ensure your application is forwarded by your Head of Department/Head of Office.
  6. Submit the online application form before the last date.
  7. Take a printout of the application for your records.
  8. Forward the printed copy with necessary documents to the Regional Director, SSC (Northern Region), New Delhi by the stipulated date.
